My name is Travis Smith. I own and operate Property Matters LLC out of Spokane, Washington.

I got into this work the way a lot of good tradesmen do — I bought a house, started working on it, and couldn’t stop. I learned by doing. I got better. People started hiring me. Eventually I made it official.

That was 2019. I’ve been building ever since.

How I Work

I show up. I communicate. I do what I said I was going to do.

That sounds like a low bar. In this industry, it isn’t.

When you hire Property Matters, you get my direct number. I answer it. If something comes up on your job — a structural surprise, a decision that needs to be made, a timeline that needs to shift — you hear it from me directly, not from a crew member you’ve never met.

I take pride in coming in under budget. Not every project allows for it, but when there’s room to save you money without cutting corners, I do. On a recent basement bar project, we finished $6,510 under the material allowance. Before tax.

That’s not a marketing line. That’s how I run jobs.

What We Build

We focus on structural modifications and additions, mid to high-end bathrooms, and decks and patios with a roof structure.
